Phipps, pool, pizza, Walnut Street

We left the house at about 11am and arrived past 9pm! Pittsburgh really has a lot to offer! We headed to Phipps, a green house near the CMU campus. The exhibit is called FiberArt and is fiber glass art among the plants. Really beautiful. But, what could be more boring to a 3-year-old super energetic kid than a green house? Actually, Diogo had a lot of fun. They had little canisters and a jet of water coming from the ground so kids could fill up the canisters and water the plants and obviously... get ALL WET!! The day was really hot and nothing better than playing with water. Hugo was sleeping at that time but when he woke up, he got a chance to splash in the water too. But there was more. They have a little maze, some kind of a tree house, and best of all, they could bring a plant home!! Diogo got a little vase, he put the dirt in it all by himself, he picked the plant and brought it home! That was really neat! Now he takes care of it like a baby (well, we'll see for how long!!). After the green house and a quick stop at Panera we headed to the swimming pool at JCC. The water was great and nothing could feel better than being in the water after such a non-stop-walking-hot-and-humid-day. After Pizza at Lucci's we finally got in the bus to Walnut Street and only after a Caramel Machiatto at Starbucks we finally arrived home. We do a lot of things here. And we still have a big list of things to do... :))
